My wife and I watch a TV show or movie together on DVD a few times a week. DVD players are great, aren’t they? You just pop in the disc and can immediately skip to anywhere in the production or fast forward or fast rewind or whatever – all with the push of a button or two. So much easier to navigate than those clunky VHS contraptions were, right? Except… every time I put in a DVD and try to skip to the content, I get this annoying message!

I was at the local meat market with my wife today. While she was ordering up a fresh supply of animal protein, I found an interesting display for Daddy Hinkle’s Instant Meat Marinades And Seasonings. The likeness of Daddy Hinkle himself seemed very familiar. Something tells me there is more to this man than just delicious meat seasoning products.
Then it occurred to me: Daddy Hinkle might just be the illegitimate love child of Indiana Jones and Major Arnold Toht from Raiders of the Lost Arc. Check it out:

While taking a walk today, I passed by a rather interesting sight. There was some movement in a parked vehicle to the right of me. I looked over at it only to find not one, not two, but three Saint Bernards staring back at me!
This isn’t exactly something one sees every day so I whipped out my phone and snapped a quick photo… just in time for them to all start barking at me. lol What – haven’t they ever seen a crossdresser with a cell phone before? Actually, I was in guy-mode at the time: just a regular looking guy. Regardless, I’m still a crossdresser, hence the title of this post.

We’re happy to announce a new reoccurring segment called “Babe of the Week”. It doesn’t require much explanation – the title pretty much sums it up and our first official myCDlife “babe” is quite the knock-out!
Nikki Welsh is a gorgeous t-girl with style, personality, and legs to die for. Married with kids, she’s a straight male to female crossdresser living in the Western U.S.
On her flickr account you will find dozens of beautiful photos boasting a variety of different looks that she pulls off very nicely. Each photo includes a playful caption. It is obvious that she has a great time in front of the camera, and you’re sure to have just as much fun enjoying the fruits of her work.
It’s important to understand that Nikki is not just another pretty face in the transgendered community. There’s a lot more to this t-girl than just good looks. In her blog, Nikki Welsh’s Lost in Trans Elation, Nikki explores the complexities of being a crossdresser and her deep emotions involved.

Before venturing online as Gabrielle for the first time, I mentally prepared myself for the possibility of getting hit on by men or other crossdressers. Being a straight male to female crossdresser, I really don’t have any interest in being with or having intimate relations with another man or even another crossdresser – no matter how beautiful her female appearance is. Regardless, I’m married to a great woman, very happily, and our marriage is a 100% monogamous one.

One of the questions I’m often asked by other crossdressers is how did I come out to my wife. I enjoy a very happy marriage and my wife is an active participant in my crossdressing. She helped me learn how to apply makeup, shops for female clothing with me, and is supportive of my need to be myself.
So how did I do it? Why is it that the Fabulous Mrs. H. loves her crossdressing spouse, Gabrielle, when other crossdressers run into giant road blocks with their wives/girlfriends? I wish I could tell other crossdressers that it was how I came out to her, but the fact is how I came out had little to do with her acceptance of me.
Like many crossdressers, I got married without first telling my wife about this aspect of my life. At the time, I was very ashamed of it and feared she would reject me if she knew. The seeds of her acceptance however, were sewn long before we got married. Even so, I still greatly feared rejection from the woman I love more than anything.

I stepped out to buy some flowers for my wife while on break at work today. She’s an amazing woman and I like to bring her flowers from time to time for no other reason other than I love her and to make her smile. Walking back into the office with flowers in my hand always gets the same old, over-used, just-not-funny-anymore joke. Everyone I passed by said pretty much the same thing: “For me? Really, you shouldn’t have!” Seriously, every single co-worker I passed said that same phrase almost word for word. I get this every time I step in the office with flowers in my hand. I always do my polite, fake chuckle back, sometimes playing along. You kind of have to do that. It’s expected, even though the joke, that same old joke, is never funny.

While exercising early this morning, I found myself the subject of interest to a rather curious little spider. I watched the little critter drop from the ceiling on its personal web-elevator. At first, it just looked like a piece of fuzz slowly dropping down, but fuzz it was not.
I really don’t mind spiders. Of all the little exoskeleton-clad freeloaders lurking in my home, spiders are the least likely to be squished by my powerful bug-mashing thumb. Although I’d rather have a house clear of insects and other little creatures, at least spiders help out by trapping and feasting on some of them.
This particular spider seemed rather curious about me and my exercise routine. So much so, that it decided to drop right down on my right knee while doing my leg-lifts. Come on, little spider – why must you land on my knee while it is moving about like that? Wouldn’t you prefer a more stable landing pad? Could you not have dropped down one foot further to my right? Continue reading to see the cool animation of where the spider landed on me. :)

I had very troubled teen years. Sure, most teens have their struggles, but I was an emotional wreck who couldn’t fit in socially to save my life and suffered from chronic depression. As a result, my parents sent me to a psychiatrist. It did me good and I leaned a lot about myself. I eventually chose to discontinue therapy after realizing that I was just going to him to complain about my life rather than work through my problems. In more than a decade of therapy, I never told him I was a crossdresser. The whole time, I was in fact in denial about it myself. After all, society frowns heavily on such things.

I didn’t wear anything green today, but I did indulge in my annual tradition of Shamrock Shake worship. At least my tongue was green for a while afterword. lol
These things are great, but only once a year. For some reason, after I’ve had one, I really don’t want another one for a long time. They taste really good at first… once you can actually get them to flow up through the straw. You know what I’m talking about, right? They’re very thick and you have to suck so hard to get any in your mouth that the straw collapses and your eyes are pulled back into your head to the point where you can see your own brain. After stirring it up for a while and sucking really, really hard, that cold, green, gooey shamrock goodness tastes so delicious.
