A few weeks or months rest will bring back the passion and energy you felt when you started. I don’t think family or happiness should be sacrificed for too long, even for a worthy cause.

As I read that, I saw so many reflections of my own life. Funny how much we all have in common when we get past the little things like gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion, creed, national origin, etc.

Resting is important. As you take your time, remember that you have already enlightened and assisted at least one person (me) into thinking about things a little differently. Change is inspiring.

I just want to say how much I enjoy your writing. It has been helpful, inspiring and enjoyable to me as a “significant other”. You will be missed during your break, but you deserve it. Enjoy yourself and the Mrs. I will be hoping you come back recharged. Hey, here is a crazy thought, perhaps Mrs. H can drop us all a post now and then while you are on hiatus!

Do some serious shoe shopping, that always makes me feel better!

Since the day I discovered your site, I have fallen in love with it. You ofer intelligent advice and are able to put humor in as well. I can only bestow accolades of praise from what I have seen thus far, and I certainly hope to see you when you return from yourr hiatus. I for one appreciate what you do and share so willingly. It matters to me and I would wager quite a few other folk too. I dare say it matters to you, otherwise you wouldn’t have thrown yourself into the writing in the way that you have done.

Hey Gabrielle,

I encourage you to watch the geese flying south a couple of weeks down the road. You will note that the lead bird gracefully drops off the front and lets other birds take the headwind.

Our flock might not be so graceful, but the effect and expectations are about the same. Draft behind some other shapely derierre for a while.

Don’t over-think things. Just rest up, focus on yourself and Senora Hermosa for a while.

And drop us your friends a line when the energy is available.
