I was at the local meat market with my wife today. While she was ordering up a fresh supply of animal protein, I found an interesting display for Daddy Hinkle’s Instant Meat Marinades And Seasonings. The likeness of Daddy Hinkle himself seemed very familiar. Something tells me there is more to this man than just delicious meat seasoning products.

Then it occurred to me: Daddy Hinkle might just be the illegitimate love child of Indiana Jones and Major Arnold Toht from Raiders of the Lost Arc. Check it out:

I don’t think we need DNA analysis to prove this one. ;)

I didn’t wear anything green today, but I did indulge in my annual tradition of Shamrock Shake worship. At least my tongue was green for a while afterword. lol

These things are great, but only once a year. For some reason, after I’ve had one, I really don’t want another one for a long time. They taste really good at first… once you can actually get them to flow up through the straw. You know what I’m talking about, right? They’re very thick and you have to suck so hard to get any in your mouth that the straw collapses and your eyes are pulled back into your head to the point where you can see your own brain. After stirring it up for a while and sucking really, really hard, that cold, green, gooey shamrock goodness tastes so delicious.

As much as I enjoy cold, green, mystery milkshake-like ooze from Mc Donalds, by the time I’m finished, I’ve really really had my fill for the year. A few years back, I made the mistake of ordering a large Shamrock Shake. Really yummy to start out, but about 2/3 the way through, I was just sick of it. The medium is a good fit for me. By the time I’m sick of it, I’m also done.

Does anyone know what’s really in these things? I could easily look it up, but that would just spoil the mystery… and may be a little unsettling at the same time. I’m going to go out on a limb and say that I doubt there’s any real shamrocks in there. Sure – it’s green like a shamrock, but I bet they use a synthetic, lab-grown shamrock substitute rather than the real thing. After all, no one wants to chance angering the Leprechaun community by snatching up all their precious shamrocks just for a once-a-year fast food beverage, right?

I came home from work today to find my lovely wife, the fabulous “Mrs. H.”, starting in on tonight’s dinner. I’m not sure how many people are familiar with the Puerto Rican food plátanos (plantains), aside from most Puerto Rican families, of course. I snapped a few photos of my wife while she was preparing dinner, btw. Continue reading to see what this delicious food looks like when finished and how my wife likes to dress in the kitchen.

If you’re expecting a recipe for this dish, my apologies – I don’t have it available right now. To be honest, my wife pretty much never uses a recipe when cooking dinner anyway. She doesn’t even measure ingredients – she just throws in a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. Sometimes she BAMS it. You know – “bam”, like Emeril Lagosi or half the name of the Rubble baby on The Flintstones. Yes, my wife bams ingredients sometimes. It’s rather amusing to see.

Above, you can see how delicious they look when finished. Mrs. H. served them with rice & beans and some chicken (barely visible left side). She’s an amazing cook and even if a picture is worth a thousand words, it will never do the flavor any justice. Her cooking is expensive restaurant quality and then some, and I don’t say that just because she’s my wife. I say that because it’s true and I eat like king, baby… and sometimes a queen. lol If you’re in to spicy foods with lots and lots of flavor, you’d probably enjoy a dinner at our table.

What are plátanos or plantains? They’re a member of the banana family, but not as sweet. They probably wouldn’t taste too good if you tried to eat them like a banana, but fried up with the right seasoning, they’re mighty good!

To the right, you can see my wife in action. Yes, she actually dressed like that while preparing dinner. Not today’s dinner, but yesterday. She had some reservations about showing her face in a published photo so this will have to do. And no, this is not a crossdresser, this is in fact my real-life wife. She’s a genetic female, has great fashion sense and style, loves to dress this way (and has for many years), and that’s her real hair (as in all growing from her head). She doesn’t dress this way as often as she did 15-20 years ago, but she still enjoys looking good around the house. She enjoys the extra attention it gets her from me too. ;)

All I can say is she’s lucky that dress doesn’t fit me! One of the many perks of being a crossdresser is being able to swap clothes with my wife. Of course, not all of her clothes will fit me and vice versa. I’m taller than she is, so this dress would look more like just a long top on me, rather than a dress. But it sure looks good on her, don’t you think? With great food, excellent company, and such beautiful scenery at the dinner table, I’m a happy, happy crossdresser! :)
